GALATEAS
La serie Galateas (2008) fue seleccionada para el 19º Festival Européen de la Photo de Nu en Arlés (Francia), un evento de referencia en Europa dedicado al desnudo y al cuerpo, que reúne anualmente a más de treinta artistas internacionales. La obra se expuso en una de las capillas de la Iglesia de Santa Ana, dentro del programa expositivo del festival.
Galateas reinterpreta el mito homónimo mediante metáforas visuales que exploran la tensión entre deseo de apropiación y alteridad, entre la pulsión de modelar al otro y la imposibilidad de anular su libertad.

The Galateas (2008) series was selected for the 19th Festival Européen de la Photo de Nu in Arles (France), a leading European event dedicated to the nude and the body, bringing together more than thirty international artists each year. The work was exhibited in one of the chapels of the Church of Saint Anne as part of the festival’s exhibition program.
Galateas revisits the eponymous myth through visual metaphors that explore the tension between the desire for appropriation and otherness, between the impulse to shape the other and the impossibility of negating their freedom.
