DESEO
El cuerpo, a partir de imágenes de esculturas clásicas que representan el canon ideal, el cuerpo estéticamente bello y perfecto, como objeto de deseo.
En este proyecto solicité a escritores y poetas su colaboración proporcionándome textos alusivos al deseo, los cuales formarían parte de las obras mediante el fotomontaje.
El cuerpo se revela como el territorio que recorre la mirada, convirtiéndose en el “texto” donde leer el deseo, la queja, el abuso, el aislamiento, la soledad…
El cuerpo me resulta cercano y familiar; me permite expresar aquello que quiero, en complicidad con el escenario y el atrezo.
DESIRE
The body, based on images of classical sculptures that represent the ideal canon, the aesthetically beautiful and perfect body, as an object of desire.
For this project, I asked writers and poets to collaborate by providing me with texts alluding to desire, which would be incorporated into the artworks through photomontage.
The body reveals itself as the territory traversed by the gaze, becoming the “text” in which to read desire, complaint, abuse, isolation, loneliness…
The body feels close and familiar to me; it allows me to express what I want, in complicity with the stage and the props.
